Saturday, September 7th

The Sins and Spirits Haunted History Walking Tour takes patrons on a one hour walk around the city of Terre Haute. Along the way, we will stop at 5 locations with ties to Terre Haute’s brewing history and its days as Sin City. We will discuss the spirits that inhabit each location as well as their interactions with the living. Please arrive at the Max Erhmann statue 15 minutes prior to your scheduled tour time. This event is for ages 16 and over. The tour will run through October every Friday & Saturday evening. Join the Terre Haute Farmer’s Market in celebrating local first responders on Saturday, September 7th from 8:00 – noon in the parking lot of The Meadows – Terre Haute for Heros Day. Bring the family to meet the Terre Haute Police Department, Vigo County Sheriff’s Office, and @terrehautefiredepartment. You can also sign up for the THPD Hotpursuit 5K Walk/run while you’re there!

The Indiana State University Sycamores Football team kicks off their first game this weekend at Memorial Stadium.  Help cheer on the Sycamores as they play against the Dayton Flyers.  The game kicks off at 1pm, tickets are only $11.Come get your tan on at Millie & Maude this Saturday at their Spray Tan Party with Tannin’ by Shannon !!!  Only $20/tan (cash ONLY, please!), and Shannon will spray on a gorgeous tan in a private space. Things to Know about the Caramel Apple Festival at Tuttle Orchards:

#1 – This event is happening on TWO Saturdays – Sep 7 & Sep 14. This can be one of the busiest days of the year at the orchard so we are offering two Saturdays this year for families to enjoy activities. We have over 100 staff prepared to welcome you and help you have a marvelous day at the orchard, but please know you are coming to a BUSY festival day. We do our best to move people through lines quickly, etc, but please know we are expecting a large number of visitors for the caramel apple festival. If you are looking for a quieter day to visit, we encourage you to come on a weekday (many activities are also open during the week). Saturday September 21st will also be a calmer Saturday to visit. We have been working hard for many weeks to prepare for the fall season, and we look forward to a beautiful day celebrating fall together.

#2 – Festival Activities (hours 9AM-7PM…except Build Your Own Caramel Apples are ONLY 10AM-5PM):

~Pick your own Apples in the orchard. Varieties: Gala, Early Blaze, Cortland. Choose from $7, $15, $25 bag.

~Tractor Town Adventure Farm Area Open: $5/child or see info below about combo pass.

~Watch the Bees: See the honeybees hard at work making honey.

~Take a hayride: Hop on the narrated tractor ride and hear about the farm. 9:30AM-6:30PM $5/person or see info below about Combo Pass.

~Opening Day for the 2019 Agrimaze Corn Maze. This year’s maze has a variety of games, activities, and photo ops to explore. $5/person or see combo pass info below.

~Caramel Apple Hunt: Search for tickets for free caramel apples hidden around the farm. 10AM-all tickets are found

#3 – The following TREATS TO EAT will be available:
~Build your own Caramel Apple: We dip the apple while you watch, and you can choose two gourmet toppings (M&Ms, Heath, etc). $5.55/each. Price includes apple and choice of two toppings. ~Our traditional caramel apples will also be available in plain, peanut, sprinkle will be available in the Cafe for $3.70

~Covered seating is available in our greenhouse areas along with lots of outdoor seating

#4 – The Tuttle’s FARM STORE will be open from 9AM-7PM offering samples of lots of items, as well as, your favorite fall food items…apples, produce, and more. PLEASE NOTE: We have not yet begun to make fresh apple cider for the season as we are waiting on enough apples to ripen. Apple cider slushies will be available in the Café & Grill, but CIDER will NOT be available by the gallon and half gallon in the Farm Store for September 7th. We anticipate having it for September 14th.

#5 – Cost: There is no admission charge for the festival. There is a separate charge for food items and some activities. Saturday Combo pass is available for $10/person which includes Agrimaze, Tractor Town, and Hayride or you can choose to purchase only the activities you wish to do. Upick Apples choose from $7, $15, $25 bag of apples. You can find food menu prices by clicking the links above. We accept credit cards on all areas of the farm.

#6 – Parking: We have a whole crew on hand to help with parking on Saturday. Please follow their direction as they help you find a spot to park. We are located at 5717 N 300 W, Greenfield, IN 46140. For safety reasons, no parking will be available in the Farm Store parking lot this day. We will have a golf cart shuttle on hand for those needing transportation to the Farm Store. Please note you are coming to a farm. We recommend farm friendly attired.

#7 – No pets are permitted due to food safety regulations. Please leave pets at home.

Please join the Parke Trails Alliance and Wheelhouse Donuts on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at 10:00 AM for a fun and festive event in the beautiful and friendly Parke County, Road, Gravel & Kid Routes Ride. Nestled between Raccoon Lake and Turkey Run State Park, the ride starts in friendly downtown Rockville, Indiana on our historic courthouse square. This is a fundraiser for the Parke Trails Alliance organization. All proceeds support the development, building and maintaining of recreational trails in Parke County. We are currently dedicating our focus and maximum effort to our local Rails to Trails project!

There will be gravel and road routes, a shorter family route, live music, and food. We will have SAG support and stops on all routes. Food will be provided for all registered participants. Come and experience our scenic county and local hospitality. Plenty of shopping, hiking, swimming and other activities for the non-cyclists in the family. Escape to Parke County for the weekend!
