Do more things that make you forget to check your phone.  Lucky for you, I’ve compiled a list of things you can do PHONE FREE! My favorites are S’mores On the Circle in celebration of national S’mores Day in downtown Indianapolis, the 14th Annual Wiener Dog Races, & Yoga at the Toga.

In celebration of National S’mores Day, Girl Scouts of Central Indiana will host its inaugural S’mores on the Circle on Monument Circle in downtown Indianapolis. This event will feature local chefs who create gourmet s’mores to be sold as a fundraiser. Each s’more will cost $5 (Cash Only). Chefs have been challenged to showcase their creative flair in what a s’more means to them. They’ll bring the spice or the sweet goodness to show off their talents, all in a fun atmosphere to raise funds for Girl Scouts. The event will run Friday from 11am-1pm. All proceeds will go towards financial assistance for Girl Scouts, so that every girl who wants to be a Girl Scout has the opportunity to participate in hands-on adventures and STEM activities.Reel Women / Vintage Wine night is taking place this Friday from 7:30-10:30 pm in Franklin, Indiana. Live music and food trucks compliment a wonderful evening.Prairie Crossroads Blues Society is hard at work planning a Blues Fest this summer for Champaign, Urbana, and the surrounding communities. They’ll have a mix of local, regional and national blues artists.
They’ll also have food and beverages available, there will be local crafts and artists, local non-profits and fun events for everyone.  It takes place at the Champaign County Fairgrounds from 2-10pm.

(if it rains we’re moving inside Kessler Hall)Help support The Arc of Evansville by the attending the 14th Annual Wiener Dog Races at Ellis Park in Henderson, KY on August 4th, August 11th, and August 25th! Proceeds from this doggone fun filled event will benefit The Arc of Evansville’s programs and services. Wiener Dog Race trials will be held on August 4th and August 11th, with two qualifying races each day at approximately 2pm and 3pm. On August 25th, two Wiener Dog heats will be held at approximately 2:30pm followed by the Wiener Dog Derby at approximately 3:30pm. Ellis Park Racing gates open at 10AM Wiener Dog Race wagering tickets are available for purchase from The Arc of Evansville table located under the grandstand starting at noon each Wiener Dog Race day.

Sunday, August 12th

Yoga at the Toga is taking place this Sunday morning at the Saratoga Restaurant in Terre Haute. Join them for a 60 minute all level flowing yoga practice incorporating essential oils, followed by a light plant based luncheon.

Serving starts at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 12th, in the new event room at the Museum, 1105 North Jackson Street, Greencastle.
