Parke County 4-H Fair
Since 1921, features a celebration for those near and far that showcases all that the county has to offer. Plenty of things to do and see for young and old such as children’s activities, entertainment, food, and merchandise vendors, livestock 🐖, agricultural competitions and much more.

Come join Cotton Candy Chaos for a night of cotton candy and painting! We will have an ICE CREAM themed night with cotton candy, crazy painting, and a delicious sundae bar. Come with friends or make it a family affair!

PopCon is a convergence of innovation, pop culture, and fandom, where we celebrate the spirit of the independent creator and their fans. If you’re a fan of tv/movies, gaming, internet culture, cosplay, and/or comics, then you’ll be able to support budding artists and find fun at PopCon.

Guests include Kate Flannery, Steve Blum, Jim Cummings, David Koechner, Rob Paulsen, Maurice LaMarche, Jim O’Heir, Rob Wiethoff, Roger Clark, CJ Ramone, Richie Ramone, Rorrie D. Travis, Jazz Baduwalia, and Abraham Rodriguez.

Events include panels, workshops, live podcasts, awards, cosplay, board gaming, demos, video gaming, laser tag, e-sports tournaments, virtual reality experiences, escape rooms, improv comedy, and new this year an international film festival.

July 9-11th.

The beloved summer tradition, The National Bank of Indianapolis Summer Nights Film Series returns. Bring your pod and watch movies under the stars at Newfields. All you need is a chair, or a blanket, concessions and beverages will be available for purchase. You are welcome to pack your own picnic (with non-alcoholic beverages only) if you’d like. For those who like to be prepared, sunscreen and bug spray are always a good idea.

Doors open at 7 pm, and the evening will kick off with special activities before the screening. The movie will begin as twilight turns to night (usually 9:30 pm). Over the summer, 14 films will be shown —everything from classic black-and-white films to modern blockbusters.

Join the VCPRD on Saturday, July 10th for our Griffin Bike Park Lake Jump Event! The event will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. directly following the Pump Track Series at Griffin Bike Park.
Participants will register for a one-hour timeslot and will be allowed to use the lake jump as many times as possible during that one-hour period. There is a 10 participant maximum for each timeslot. Participants MUST register ahead of time so don’t delay!
The registration fee for this event is $10 and can be paid upon arrival. The final date for registration is Friday, July 9th by 4 p.m. Please register by calling our administrative office at 812-462-3392 or emailing our Recreational Coordinator at [email protected]! We hope to see you there!
Note: all riders MUST wear a helmet, a life jacket, and shoes while jumping. This event is open for participants ages 5 and up. All children ages 13 and under must be supervised by an adult at all times. Social distancing is required. Masks will be required when social distancing cannot be maintained. Parking is available in the parking area directly adjacent to the boat ramp and lake jump. Parking is prohibited on the boat ramp during this event. Thanks in advance!

Terre Haute Farmer’s Market

We’re excited to see you at the Market again this Saturday, July 10th, from 8:00 – noon! Those delicious summer vegetables we’re all looking forward to are due to arrive any day, so make plans to come out for farm fresh meats, eggs, and produce, plus homemade baked goods and locally crafted soaps and body care products, hand poured candles, unique spices and sauces, fermented foods, plants, and even homemade treats for your furry friends. You never know what you’ll find! So bring a friend and join us in the Meadows parking lot this Saturday morning!

Trace Adkins headlines an evening of country music on the infield of the Action Track at the 2021 Vigo County Fair. Ian Flanigan, from “The Voice”, will open the show at 6 pm.

General Admission tickets are only $35 at participating Casey’s General Stores, VIP tickets start at $75.

Doors open at 4:30 pm.
