This high-powered party features the final practice for the 105th Indianapolis 500 and the Indy 500 Pit Stop Challenge all for one great price. Join all your friends on one of the best days of the year at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway!
11 am-12 pm – 500 Practice
Don’t miss the most exciting practice session of the year! The field of drivers racing in the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge will have one hour to make their cars race ready during final Indianapolis 500 practice on Miller Lite Carb Day. This one-hour practice session will be full of excitement as drivers will run in heavy traffic with lots of drafting and passing to best simulate race conditions for Sunday.
2-3:30 pm – Pit Stop Challenge
The top pit crews in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES will take center stage during the tournament-style pit stop competition. Two cars will line up side by side on pit lane. When the light turns green, the cars will race into a pit box, where their crew is waiting to simulate a full-service pit stop. Once complete, the drivers will exit the pit box and race to the finish line. The team that performs the quickest service advances to the next round, pending any penalties. The final round is a best-of-three competition between two teams.

For May-Aug, Vintage Movie Night is moving to the Corporate Shelter (see map in discussion) adjacent to the Garfield Park Arts Center, where guests can watch from their cars in the parking lot similar to a drive-in movie. No reservations required, spots are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. No concessions will be served at this time. Pre-registration is required.
The movie will start after sundown (around 9 PM), but guests can plan to get to the park 45 minutes to an hour early to set up and settle in for the show! Restrooms are only available through the outdoor port-o-lets. There is one located right by the parking lot next to the Corporate Shelter. Guests are welcome to bring their own coolers of food and non-alcoholic beverages. Please note alcohol is not permitted. Lastly, per the Marion County Public Health Department, face masks are mandated for all residents when they are inside public buildings and/or unable to maintain adequate social distancing (minimum six feet) outdoors.
In the 1950s, 3D movies became very popular as an alternative to staying at home watching television. We’re celebrating them outdoors this summer as a drive-through, socially-distanced and safe event. Don’t miss these! Many of these films are not shown very often—or at all. With each registration, you’ll get a pair of 3D glasses that will be distributed at the event. Guests can remain in their car or outdoors in lawn chairs (socially distanced and masked).
Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954)
A strange prehistoric beast lurks in the depths of the Amazonian jungle. A group of scientists try to capture the animal and bring it back to civilization for study.
