Tired of the same old dinner date for Valentine’s Day? Try one of these fun local events or activities to help you celebrate with your best friends or significant other.

Friday, February 12th

Valentine’s Day Floral Design Workshop at The Farm & Co. this Friday at 6pm.Grab a friend or tell your husband to buy you a unique floral experience this year. Learn basic floral design skills with me and have a fun night of fellowship and creating. You will walk away with a beautiful floral creation and knowledge on how to recreate your design on your own at home. Can’t wait to see you all and celebrate love, friendship, and flowers!

Flavor Bytes: Dinner with a Movie hosting by the Vigo County Public Library. Enjoy a made from scratch, four-star meal and stream a movie on hoopla® from the comfort of your home. Learn how to make your own pasta without fancy equipment and coat it with an easy Alfredo sauce. Due to the perishable ingredients included, kits will only be available for pickup at the West Branch Library from Monday, February 8 to Friday, February 12. A video will be posted on the Library’s social media on Monday, February 8 demonstrating how to prepare this recipe. Contact 812.235.2121 for more information. Register to receive a kit.

Dusty Miller with be playing at 365 Bar & Grill this Friday night at 8pm. Stop in to listen to some country hits.

Saturday, February 13th

Come and shop inside Meadow’s atrium for their Valentine Vendor Event. Stop by one of over 50 vendors spaced out in the atrium. Not just Valentine items..there will be home decor, candles, home scents and soaps, health and wellness, specialized tumblers, kitchen items as well as other unique finds not found in stores. 9am-3pm.
 
All will be masked and with sanitizer handy. With high ceilings and spaced out booths it ensures a comfortable shopping experience! 
Delish Cafe is hosting a Special Pop Up Dinner to Celebrate Valentine’s Day. Saturday 4-8pm.
 

Valentine’s Glow Late Skate at the Wigwam. 7pm-12am.Only $12 includes Admission, Glow Stick, Valentines Love Potion Drink, Valentines Cup Cake, plus the first 100 people through the door get a Free Valentines Box of Chocolates.

Blackhawk Winery & Vineyard is hosting a Girl Scout Cookie & Wine Flights tasting. They’ve done their homework and put together the best pairings in groups of 4. Each flight has 4 wines with a 2 ounce pour (or 1 ounce if it is a dessert wine), with two cookies for each wine for maximum enjoyment.
Flights will be available on the day of the official pairing event for $15, but if you reserve your flight in advance, you will save $3! So, reserve your flight today because this deal ends on 2/7/2020!
Troop 2499 will also be on hand to sell you a box (or two or five) of your favorite cookies so that you can do more pairings at home!

The Indianapolis City Market will be featuring special market hours for shopping, eating, sweets and flowers! Enjoy fresh and local PROX Salad, shopping with His &Hers Boutique, freshly baked Valentine sweets by Just Cookies and beautiful bouquets by The Flower Boys. Merchant hours will vary. Indoor dining available with socially distanced tables.

Love is in the air! Grab your four-legged friend and get their photo taken for V-Day. Ticketed, 21+ only. Proceeds benefit IndyHumane.
Join Metazoa Brewing Company and The Good Dog Photography for a fun evening of pet photos and delicious craft beer. A ticket includes a 5-min photo session for your pet(s) that will result in 3-4 high-quality photos. Photo sessions are $15 and all proceeds benefit IndyHumane.
You must arrive on-time for your registered time slot and all tickets must be purchased in advance to accommodate limited capacity and social distancing. All attendees must wear a mask at all times and remain in a socially distant line while waiting to begin a photo session. Must be 21+ to attend.
TICKET PRICING
Ticket: $15/group (presale ends at 12:00PM on Feb. 13)
PHOTO SESSION DETAILS
-We have (24) 5-min session spots available between 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM. When you purchase a ticket, you will select a 15-min timeframe.
-Please arrive a few minutes before your scheduled timeslot to check-in with our photographer and get a call number. Each 15-min session will have (3) groups scheduled and will have a maximum of 5-mins for photos. Our host will call your number when it is your pup’s time to shine.
-There is a limit of (5) people and (3) dogs per session.
-Masks must be worn at all times unless you would like to be in the photo with your pet. Our photographer will give you the green light when it is okay to remove your mask once you are a safe distance away from others.
-Photos will be delivered via email within 5-7 days after the event.
