Join the VCPRD on Friday, October 29th at Fowler Park from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. for family-friendly hayrides! Rides will leave from the beach parking lot and tickets are $3 per person. This event is open to all ages and includes a brief ride through the Fowler Park Pioneer Village and around the park! Be afraid, be very afraid and join us for the second annual Fowler Park After Dark! On Friday, October 29th from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., the VCPRD will be offering a haunted Halloween tour through Fowler Park Pioneer Village! Participants will meet at the Fowler Park Log Barn and will be guided through the village if they dare! Ghosts and ghouls lurk around every corner!

Costumes of all shapes, sizes, and budgets welcome on Friday October 29th! Judging will start at 10pm! Prizes available to best of the Night!

Join Sleepy Creek Vineyards for the last Wieners & Wine of the 2021 season at 5 pm. And we’ll kickoff the Hallo-Wine bash to FREE music with Doc Shredd and The Heartstrings from 6:30-9:30 pm. For an intriguing evening come dressed in costume if you dare. For a fabulous Hallo-Wine time we will be open till 10 pm! Come out for free hot dogs, fixings and fire.
It’s going to be a spooktakular evening with Wine, Wieners, Campfire, Music, and Costumes, OH MY………..

Saturday, October 30th

Run, dodge, and survive the Zombie Apocalypse 5k by either working together as a team or taking on the apocalypse solo in this zombie 5k!

All participants will wear provided flag football belts as they dip and dodge zombies along the 5k route in the beautiful Fowler Park. All participants entering the quarantined zone will have 3 flags attached to their belts and will have to dip, dodge, and run away from the zombie horde hidden throughout the 5k route. Our zombies will be attempting to tear your flags off of your belt. Return to the finish line with at least 1 flag still attached to “survive” the Zombie Apocalypse!

Race Schedule:
8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. – Race Day Registration and Packet Pickup located at Shelter A by the Covered Bridge
(please note packet pickup for each wave will end 30 minutes before the start of that race wave)
10:00 a.m. – 1st Wave Start
10:30 a.m. – Post-race refreshments available
10:30 a.m. – Trunk or Treat Begins
10:30 a.m. – 2nd Wave Start (3rd and 4th Waves are now starting at 10:30 a.m. for a larger groups size to survive the Zombies!)
11:30 p.m. – Post-Race Survivor Awards
11:30 p.m. – Event and Trunk or Treat Closes

This event benefits the FSA Counseling Center which provides high quality mental health programs and services for everyone in the Wabash Valley.

Join us for the final outdoor market of the year! We’ll have trick or treating for our young visitors, and the grownups can find amazing fall produce, farm fresh meat and eggs, artisan baked goods, handcrafted home goods, and more!
Stay for a while and listen to live music from Zakk Massa, then head inside The Meadows for their costume parade and contest!

Skullinary Queens

Our queens have been knocking ’em dead for years. This year, we’re taking it literally. As FSA Counseling Center’s largest fundraiser of the year women in the community come together to raise funds for needed mental health services in the Wabash Valley. In the month of October our Skullinary Queens will be working to raise tips on behalf of FSA Counseling Center. The efforts will be rewarded at our annual event. This year at Fowler Park. The queens will come together to host a free community trunk or treat! Come and join us as we celebrate the Queen’s efforts. The event will feature a monster dance party by DJ Sound Sensations. If you are a runner you can also register for a Zombie Apocalypse 5K. Cost for the run is $25.

Come by The Meadows on October 30th at 1 pm for a Halloween parade! The parade will begin with the Farmers Market.
Images Photography will be offering pictures for $5 each. Pictures taken can be submitted on Stork Stop’s website/FB page. The photo with the most likes will win a gift card.
Join us for a spooktacular Howl-O-Ween Dog Walk at Deming Park in Terre Haute! For only $15.00 (plus $5 per additional dog) you and your dog will enjoy meeting new furry friends with a group walk around the park, play on some agility equipment, enjoy a pup cup, and be entered into a drawing to win a Howl-O-Ween basket filled with goodies for your pooch!
We encourage puppy costumes!

Walk Rules:
-Those attending must sign event waiver.
-All dogs attending must show proof of Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, and Bordetella Vaccines prior to the event.
– All dogs must be on leash and under control at all times.
-Dogs must be non reactive or aggressive towards other dogs & people.
-Must respect the space of others attending (don’t allow your dog to run up to, or greet another dog without owner permission first).
-You must clean up after your dog.
Come join The Bridge at their annual FREE Halloween event! There will be lots of games and blow ups for the kids. We will be handing out hot dogs, drinks, hot chocolate and candy–all for free!! We will award prizes for the best costumes in these categories

Fun Run/ walk in our 5k. Awards for best costume! Preregistration $20 and a T-shirt. Day of race $25.

Join The Maple Center and Ellie Templeton for an hour-long Family Yoga class this fall! Instructor, Ellie Templeton, will practice stretching, movement, and breathwork using games and music. No experience is needed for this class and mats are available! While our class is open to families of all ages and stages, the content is ideal for children ages five to twelve.
Family Yoga will last four weeks:

$5 per person or $20 per family.
