Another weekend is a head of us and January 2021 has almost come to a close. This weekend we’ve got live music spots lined up, craft classes, and online events. Check them out below.

Friday, January 22nd

Bubba Wiggles will be playing at the Dawgleg Bar & Grill at Idle Creek this Friday night at 7:30pm. Join them for a night of great music, delicious food, and ice cold drinks!

This unique evening includes a full screening of Napoleon Dynamite followed by a lively, freewheeling, moderated discussion with fan-favorite cast members Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite), Efren Ramirez (Pedro), and Jon Gries (Uncle Rico). Tickets on sale Friday, Nov. 15!

Did you get a Cricut Machine or have owned one for awhile and unsure how it all works? Then take this beginners class where you will learn Design Space, cutting, welding, attaching, slicing, uploading and more.
Class is $30 per student. Supplies needed are: laptop that has Design Space uploaded and updated, Cricut machine, paper, mats, scraper to remove paper from mat. Class will be taught on laptop. Tablet buttons are different so you will need to make sure you are aware of that if bringing tablet to work off of.
Call to sign up at 217/234-1061. Out of courtesy to teacher and other students please be here and ready to start class at time class starts. You will need to log onto wifi, log onto Design Studio website and have Cricut hooked up and ready to go at class time.

Saturday, January 23rd

Tyler Trueblood will be playing at the Poplar Pub this Saturday night. Join him at 9pm for country music covers.

Another week, another game to try! Come join Gam3 of Terre Haute for Board Game Night. Enjoy the latest, maybe greatest, titles and their favorite classics. Everyone’s welcome to come push cubes and earn chits with them. No fee, All fun! Starts at 6pm.

Nic Strain will be at 365 Bar & Grill this Saturday night at 8pm.

Join Switchyard Brewing in Bloomington for a celebration of everything winter!
Winterpalooza is Saturday, Jan. 23 from 3-5 p.m. at Switchyard Park. Admission is $5 per person; exact change, or debit/credit card only.
Help manage crowd size by arriving at a designated time, based on your last name:
A-M arrive between 3-3:30
N-Z arrive between 4-4:30
Participate in the Yeti and/or Winter Scavenger Hunts, and complete the hunts to win prizes! Say hello to our resident Yeti (you may or may not catch our Yeti on film!), experience fun, physically distanced winter-themed activities, and take home a craft/activity bag that includes make-your-own snow!
Winter Palooza takes place entirely outside. Event admission is located outside the Switchyard Park Pavilion. Vehicle parking is available at the Rogers Street parking lot, and bicycle racks are available on the south side of the Pavilion.

Join Sewar Lair Toys this Sunday January 24th from 5pm-9pm EST (4pm-8pm CST) for our Hello 2021 Toy Auction! They will be auctioning off an assortment of vintage and modern toys/collectibles. This includes loose & packaged pieces and figures. Best part is, you don’t even have to leave the comfort of your living room! What better way to say goodbye to 2020 and hello to 2021!? Doesn’t matter if you are looking to catch some deals or just like participating in an auction, this is a sale you don’t want to miss! In this 2 week class you will be introduced to the fundamentals of glass fusing. We will teach/ introduce you to:
glass safety
glass hand tools
basic glass cutting
types of glass and glass compatibility
kiln overview
arranging glass for fusing
how heat affects glass
firing schedule fundamentals
In particular we will focus on arranging glass for flat fusing – the first step towards many more advanced techniques. You will make a pendant and a set of 2 coasters or small dishes.
Class limit: 6 students/6 family units
Ages: 18 and up
Tuition: $80

CE Indiana is grateful for the relationships we have forged with our clients. Due to COVID-19, CE Indiana is inviting our guests with Tollys Bar & Grill to join us for ONLINE LIVE TRIVIA and support your favorite local business.
Join Challenge Entertainment and Indiana Trivia for LIVE TRIVIA supporting Tollys Bar & Grill in Terre Haute, each Sunday night beginning at 7:00 PM.
Beginning January 1, CE Indiana kicks off the 2021 National Trivia League. Each night, compete for house cash and points toward #NTL2021. The top 5 teams from this venue will qualify for the 2021 National Trivia League playoffs to compete for cash and prizes.
Due to COVID-19, we will offer participation ONLINE for those folks not wanting to participate in person.
That’s right, gather your regular LIVE TRIVIA team and join us for this exciting event. Teams with multiple households can participate with our breakout room capabilities. Participation requires a minimum donation of $10 per household. Teams participating in our Zoom Live Trivia events will be helping support local as a percentage of donations will be provided to CE Indiana Live Trivia venues. Furthermore, teams participating in our Zoom Live Trivia events will also be invited to a special LIVE TRIVIA event specifically for online teams where you’ll compete for a percentage of the donations and other awesome prizes. Finally, your team will be eligible for NTL points and will have the opportunity to qualify for #NTL2021.
NTL2021 qualifying takes place from January 1-June 30.
