Times are strange but we are slowly returning to normalcy. Restaurants have had a difficult time these past few months and have had to resort to carry out only. For restaurants like Alimentari Da Pesavento opening up with such a small space in the early phases, just wasn’t in the cards. Indiana is currently at phase 4.5 which allows restaurants to operate at up to 75% capacity as long as social distancing is observed and bar seating may operate at 50% capacity. Alimentari Da Pesavento/Bar Bosco has been preparing and put into place the necessary precautions to put their patrons and staffs health and safety first. They will be re-opening up to the public this Friday, July 17th.
Alimentari Da Pesavento/Bar Bosco is owned by Joe Everhart and Ken Ramsay who over the last several months have been putting into place some exciting new changes. They have brought on a new Executive Chef Lupe Nanbo and introducing an expanded menu. On top of their classic favorites, they will introduce new meat/seafood choices and wood fired pizzas. Chef Lupe Nanbo has most recently worked in NYC as Chef de Cuisine at Lumaca under celebrity chef John DeLucie. Lupe has an incredible background and experience in Italian Food. I had the pleasure of meeting Lupe and testing out Alimentari Da Pesavento/Bar Bosco’s updated menu this past weekend. I am so excited to share with you some delicious and exciting new additions to this charming Italian restaurant.I loved all the original items on their menu but I am super excited to see that Chef Lupe is bringing fresh. local, and delicious new items to the table. Not only have they expanded their menu, they’ve also expanded the restaurant and have opened up their third dining area. This will help with distancing and features their pizza oven. The oven is gas/wood fired and they will begin by offering three pizzas. The mozzarella and dough are made in-house. They will be opening the dining rooms at 50% of their capacity to make social distancing easier. Their staff will be following all Indiana guidelines including wearing masks, gloves, utilizing disposable menus and sanitizing. A limited number of tables are available for outdoor seating in their courtyard. They have also added ultra-violet air cleaning systems. Our original post about Bar Bosco/Alimentari Da Pesaventos can be found here.
