A Look At: The Farmhouse Pop-Up

[Update: This Pop-Up is no longer open]

I lived in Nashville, Tennessee for 2 years and their farm-to-table restaurant scene was thriving and still is.  I’d always come back home and never wanted to go out to eat, because there was nothing comparable and everything else just seemed bland, besides Sushi Umi (you’ll always have a piece of my heart).  Our town is full of chain restaurants and there is absolutely nothing better than a local place that serves amazing food.  Sorry, all you Texas Roadhouse fans (you’re seriously missing out). I was at the Red Barn at Sycamore Farm back in late August for a private event, Kris Kraut was doing a live cooking demonstration for our group.  It was then that he informed us of the pop-up restaurant concept happening in 2018.  I could barely contain my excitement and as soon as reservations opened up in December, I was on the phone reserving a table.

The Farmhouse Pop-Up is located inside a charming 1860’s farmhouse that actually used to be home to a bed & breakfast.  They’ve turned the downstairs into 3 private dining areas and are able to seat around 30+ patrons. This makes for a romantic and intimate setting to spend an evening with a significant other, friends, or family.

The Farmhouse is open Thursday-Saturday for Dinner from 5pm-9pm. The best part about this restaurant is that it has an ever-changing menu based on seasonally appropriate ingredients.  Their dishes are changed out each week, so you can always expect something new & delicious. The Farmhouse also serves craft beer, sake cocktails, & wine.

You know that brunch place you’ve been complaining about that Terre Haute doesn’t have? Now you can stop complaining! The Farmhouse is open for brunch on Sundays from 10am-2pm and there will be MIMOSA’S!!!

Currently, the restaurant is only open this year from January-March due to the high demand of their event space and their wedding schedule.  But you can expect the restaurant to be open full time next year.  So don’t sit around and wait, make your reservations today, you won’t be disappointed.

This post speaks all the words in my head. My boyfriend is from Bloomington, and now that we’ve been dating for a year, I told him, “Well, honey, you’ve now officially eaten in all the good Terre Haute restaurants.” It only took a few months to check off the list. 🙁
A new brunch spot is exactly what is needed! I’ll definitely be making a reservation for The Farmhouse ASAP!

      Robin,
We are happy to hear we could help, we feel the same about our town’s restaurants. You won’t be disappointed with The Farmhouse, and the best part is that they change the menu weekly so there is always something new to try!
      Enjoy,
      Always Take The Scenic Route
