The race itself is run on the trails of Hawthorne Park. The trails are generally in good shape however the weather can always make it a bit Swampy so look out for alligators. The course is always well marked with plenty of course volunteers.
The Swamp Stomp has always been an event for everyone. The competition is stiff for overalls and age groups, but if you would rather take a morning jog or walk through one of our areas most scenic parks it is perfect.
Reach Services needs your help!
We have a dream of building a new Reach Community Garden for the consumers seeking our services, those living in our housing units, and others within our community. We need YOU to help us make it a reality.
We currently have 4 raised garden beds that are going to need a little TLC to become the start of the new Reach Community Garden behind our offices at 1400 Hulman. We also have several 10x4s and other items we can use to build out our new garden space. You are also welcome to bring additional items/planters to add to the garden.
We will meet at 1400 Hulman at 10:00am on Saturday April 17th. Please bring your favorite pair of gloves and any items you like working with. We will have some shovels and items on hand, but could always use more.
We will have some snacks and lunch on site that day.
Once the new Reach Community Garden has been built, we will be looking for volunteers to help plant, water, weed, and maintain this space.
Please join us!
