What to do this Weekend

What To Do This Weekend 3.27-3.29 (Home Edition)

The way we’ve been living these past few weeks has flipped our normal lives upside down and we don’t see a change coming anytime soon. We’ve decided to take our weekly series posts about “what you can do around town” and turn them into a “what you can do from home” series. Remember to stay safe and stay home!

Friday, March 27th

Build a puzzle! Take a break from binging shows and give your brain some exercise. This is a great activity to do alone or with a friend who you may be quarantined with.

Pickup some fish, for those partaking in Lent, from Sonka Irish Pub! They ran out last week, so call ahead of time and place your order. They’ve got their famous Fish Tacos, a Cod Reuben, a Classic Fish Sandwich, or Shrimp Po Boy Sandwich! Have it traditional or spice it up with their Leprechaun Sauce.

Go for a Walk. Friday’s morning forecast calls for showers, but it will get up to 68 degrees during the afternoon. Get outside and breathe in some fresh air.

Saturday, March 28th

Paint or Color! Get your creative juices flowing. I’ve done one paint by numbers kit that I purchased at Hobby Lobby and I loved it. I’ve since ordered some more kits online, plus a water color kit, and all supplies are included. This activity is the perfect way to push that anxiety aside and forget about all your worries.

Make a “quaran-tini”! Make use of what you’ve got in your liquor cabinets and test out your mixology skills. We’ve been sharing recipes for “Drink of the Month” for the past few years, so use one of our recommendations or create your own. Send us your creations and you might be featured in April!

Watch a movie or show. This is one of the more obvious things to do at home while in quarantine. We will have a list up next week of our favorite shows to binge watch on streaming services, so stay tuned. Some current popular shows to watch are: Little Fires Everywhere (Hulu), Tiger King (Netflix),  Hunters (Amazon).

Sunday, March 29th
