Maple Syrup Hikes: Take an off the trail hike with our Natural Resource Programmer and explore the vast system of maple syrup lines arranged throughout Prairie Creek Park. The hike will cover approximately 3-3.5 miles and extends beyond the established trails in the park. Hikers will experience terrain including rolling hills and steep inclines and declines in some areas. It is recommended participants dress warm and wear footwear appropriate for slick and muddy conditions. VCPRD maple syrup will be available to taste and for purchase at the conclusion of the hike.

Black History Gallery Toursย at the the Indiana State Museum. Go beyond the exhibit label and learn more about the artifacts featured at the Indiana State Museum that connect to Black and African American history in Indiana.

Some of the best ways we learn is to share stories with our peers finding the ways that our ancestors impacted our lives and the lives of others in tremendous ways. For this Research Roundtable, letโs talk about all the ways that Black History is everyoneโs history. Weโll ask a few questions to get folks chatting, but the rest is up to you. We would love to โseeโ you there.
