Move over Peppermint Mocha, it’s martini time. We’re bringing you our 9th drink of our 12 Days of Cocktails segment. Elevate your holiday game, with this easy to make, elegant Mint Martini. This cocktail has just 3 ingredients, letting the crisp flavor of the mint really shine.
To get that wonderful mint flavor, we’re making a Mint Simple Syrup. Simple syrups are a great way to impart flavor and some sweetness to your cocktails. Just heat equal parts water and sugar until the sugar dissolves. Add mint (I used 1 bunch for a 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar batch), and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and steep for 20 minutes. Strain to remove the mint leaves and stems and you’ve got yourself a mint simple syrup.
