Friday, October 26th

No Tricks,All Treats at the Downtown Haunted Haute annual community event presented by the TH Chamber and DTH. Visit Downtown Terre Haute on October 26 from 6-8pm to experience a free family friendly Halloween celebration! Sponsored by Midwest Communications and Refreshment Services Pepsi, Downtown will be scary busy with fun! Join Mix FM’s Kevin and Jessica for the Monster Mash Dance Party at the SkyGarden Parking Facility Plaza. Make sure your ghouls and goblins come dressed in costume to trick-or-treat at more than 50 booths around Downtown including options from the Teal Pumpkin Project!Halloween Fest is taking place this Friday and Saturday at Hotel Tango Distillery, featuring live music and pop up shops with: Bloody Tambourine and the Musical Mafia, 4 Birds Bakery, Circles Ice Cream and more. ADMISSION IS FREE!

T’s Loung is hosting a Halloween Party this Friday evening starting at 7pm. Dress up and party with your fellow patrons. Lisa will be having games and prizes! So come on out for a spooktacular time!Stop by the Bad Apple Saloon for a cocktail and some great food this weekend for their 2nd annual customer appreciation evening. They will have some door prizes, and live music by The Helton Brothers. Join them as they say goodbye to another great season in honor of all of their wonderful customers who make everything possible. The band will go on at 6pm.Join the Harvest Bakery as they celebrate their 6th year for raising funds to celebrate ‘Our Giving Thanks Dinner’on Thanksgiving Day. Mice Stew and Witches Brew is a donation dinner where all proceeds will be used for their dinner on Thanksgiving. Please consider dine in or carry out meal to help raise the funds for us to continue this tradition. We prepare a full meal for anyone to come in and eat or carryout. We encourage people to take a dinner to someone home bound or possible homeless that you are aware of. All are welcomed.

Zach & Zack present NUVO’s 2015 and 2017 Best of Indy #1 pick for Best Locally Produced Play, THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW, at the Athenaeum Theatre October 26th-November 3rd. Squeaky-clean couple Brad and Janet find themselves stranded on a dark and stormy night. A flat tire brings them to the home of the fabulous and mysterious Dr. Frank N Furter. Too bad for them, they’ve arrived on a very special night! Soon, Brad and Janet will meet Frank’s newest “creation”, battle with temptation, and experience the craziest evening of their lives. In case you haven’t heard, this is Step-Up’s biggest fundraiser of the year, Bill & Gary’s Annual Halloween Party…and also the biggest Halloween Party (that we know of) in Indy. Our previous hosts, Bill & Gary, have moved to San Francisco. However, thanks to their continued generosity and the generosity of R&B Architects, Black Plate Catering and CoolFront Refrigeration, the party lives on! Join us this year at the Glossbrenner mansion for the biggest party yet!

General admission tickets are $25 and VIP tickets are $50, which include access to a VIP bar (shorter line). All ticket prices include hors d’oeuvres and an open bar. All proceeds benefit Step-Up, Inc (www.stepupin.org). There will be a costume contest at 12:30am on the main staircase with 3 categories: Most Creative/Original Costume, Sexiest Costume, Gave My Costume No Thought. Prizes will be awarded!

Step-Up, Inc. is 501(c3) non-profit agency that was founded in 2003 on the principle of identifying gaps in HIV/STD prevention with a focus on underserved, hard to reach populations. Our mission is to promote health and well-being by providing services, education, training, testing and advocacy. One of our long-standing programs is called Indianapolis Men Advancing Prevention (I-MAP). This program distributes safer sex kits in the community and provides free, confidential HIV and STD testing. Since 2005, we have distributed over 1.3 million safer sex kits and conducted over 12,000 HIV tests. Step-Up also provides services for individuals living with HIV. So far this year, we have served almost 500 clients. This includes care coordination services, nutrition therapy services, emergency foor and utility services, and short-term housing services. Saturday, October 27th

Fall has arrived and pumpkins are flying through the skies over the Monroe County Fairgrounds! The Bloomington Pumpkin Launch takes place this Saturday from 11am-3pm. Launcher teams send pumpkins soaring through the air in competitions for accuracy and distance, so get a team together to build and enter a pumpkin launching device. Not a builder? Not to worry! There is plenty to do and see at the Pumpkin Launch, including a children’s area with a variety of activities, live music, food vendors, and the festive feel of fall. Bring a lawn chair and be amazed by launch device ingenuity! A classic car show, courtesy of the Kiwanis Club of South Central Indiana Balloon Fest. Ripley’s Halloween party will be on October 27th starting at 9pm with the full MacDaddy’s Band. Following their show will be DJ Banana-man til 3am! Wear your best costumes and come out for a party, see you there!

Join the fun at the Altrusa Chili Cook-off! Doors open at 11am and the cook off takes place at the Meadows shopping center parking lot. Stop by and sample chili from over 20 different booths. $1 gets you in the door, $0.50 gets you a sample. All proceeds benefit Altrusa of Terre Haute, supporting literacy in the Wabash Valley.

Sunday, October 28th

The owners of the Moon Lite Drive in are kind enough to offer the Jeep Junkies a free trunk or treating/movie event on Sunday Oct 28. The trunk or treating will be from 5 to 7pm, followed by a free kids movie, Hotel Transylvania at sunset. They plan to have adult and kids costume contests, scariest costume, funniest costume….etc. this event will be free to the Jeep Junkies and free to the public so let’s have a great showing off Jeep Peeps and have some fun!!!Local 1103 Handmade is hosting a Watercolor Workshop this Sunday at 4pm! This class will cover simple painting methods – such as how to mix dynamic colors, create blends, paint expressive brush strokes, and layer with shapes. We will spend time exploring and becoming comfortable with this medium before starting to create finished pieces. Throughout the class, we will paint simple florals. This workshop is perfect for anyone who is curious about watercolor and looking to explore the medium in a new, refreshing way!

Mr. Reese has invited everyone who works for him, from publicists to costumers to the lowliest extras. (No doubt a few gatecrashers will slip through, too, but why spoil the mood by getting worked up about that?) So raise a glass and toast to the glorious future of the moving pictures!

Presented by the CUTC’s Seven Corpse Murder Mysteries. This audience-interactive murder mystery will create an evening of conspiracy, mystery, and drama. It is up to you to find the murderer! Food will be catered and served buffet style! Also available for purchase is Sleepy Creek wine, beer, and specialty drinks.
