You’ll have a dog-gone good time at August First Friday: Dog Days of Summer! Sponsored by downtown business Campbell Creek Artisan Shops.

Bring your four-legged friends to experience downtown, along with K9 demonstrations, paw print painting, education from local veterinarian offices and more! Usual favorites including the Vigo County Public Library, Swope Art Museum, Crossroads Cyclery, Griffin Bike Park, Clabber Girl and more will also join in on the fun.

The Red Barn at Sycamore Farms is holding a Back to School Vendor Fair this Friday evening. Vendors from all over Terre Haute will be set up selling their wares. The event is from 5-8pm. There will be refreshments and door prizes.
Friday, Aug. 2nd Come check out The Brooks Hubbard Band and Toeknee Tea Live at the Verve! These traveling musicians don’t stop in often so you do not want to miss this! The band goes on at 10pm.

Join local growers and makers on Saturday, August 3rd from 8:00 a.m. – noon in the Meadows parking lot for Dog Days of Summer at the Farmer’s Market! With more than 35 participating vendors, live music by Bubba Wiggles  and special guests like the Terre Haute Humane Society helping us give some extra love to our furry friends, there’s something for everyone!


Join Venus+Vine, plus a handful of fabulous local vendors, for a great day of shopping, giveaways, snacks and sunshine! Saturday Shopping at Venus+Vine: August Pop-Up Market Edition will take place Saturday from 10am-4pm.

Black Cow Designs will be there, on the lawn, with their brand new mobile boutique trailer!!! JDV Boutique will be hosting a trunk show in the boutique, Kara Lovell Ceramics will be here for the first time, as well as their sister company, Pure GRACE Soap.

As always they will have giveaways galore from each local vendor plus food and drinks to enjoy while you wander.

New Orleans is 790 miles away, yet The Red Room Cakery is just down the road here in Terre Haute. They are hosting a BBQ Bayou Bash this Saturday from 11am-6pm.

Bobby Que’s will be set up and they are working on a custom menu especially for this event which is going to include some gnarly NOLA-themed awesomeness!
The cake shop will have regular dessert items available, plus some NOLA-inspired treats as well. Beignets, Creole Cream Cheese Cheesecake, Bananas Foster, Praline Monkey Bread Pudding, and Creme Brulee to be exact!!! YUM!! Beer and wine will be available for dine-in customers as well.

The Max Power Trio consists of father/son duo, Pat Goodwin (bass/vocals) and Max Goodwin (guitar/vocals), along with Tom Whiteman (drums). The band began playing 3 years ago when Max was just 15 and has performed at several venues and festivals in the area including the Thirty-Six Saloon, the Terre Haute Brewing Company, the Verve, the Downtown Block Party, the Strawberry Festival, and the Player’s Pub in Bloomington. Their sets include blues and classic rock covers of hits by Cream, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Howlin’ Wolf and others along with a few originals. And if the name Pat Goodwin seems to ring a bell, it might be because he is running for Mayor of Terre Haute in this year’s municipal election!
Love and Theft make their debut on the Bad Apple Saloon stage on August 3! Cody Ikerd and the Sidewinders will kick off this exciting night of music at 8pm!! $10 cover gets you two phenomenal acts!
