The whole point of the week is the WEEKEND! This weekend is full of excitement, like always.  Yoga + Beer is back at the Terre Haute Brewing Company this Saturday morning, don’t forget your yoga mat! Taste Terre Haute is still taking place around town with local restaurants and a similar event in Greencastle, Chow Downtown starts this weekend. Ben Haggard is playing live at Johnny & June’s in Flora, Illinois and it is worth the trip, stay tuned for our post coming up within the next few weeks!

Friday, July 27th

Soupbone’s Blackwater Mission is playing Friday night at the Terre Haute Brewing Company.  The band plays from 8-11pm in the Velvet Room.  Come taste their new beers & food!Sunset & Sangria is a LADIES ONLY Event taking place in Covington at the Covington City Pool.  You must be 21 to attend. The event takes place between 7-10pm.

THE HAGGARD LEGACY LIVES ON…

Ben Haggard is the son of iconic Country Music Legend, Merle Haggard. Ben was a regular on Merle Haggard’s recordings, took the stage with him and the Highwaymen (Willie Nelson and Kris Kristofferson) as well as Blake Shelton for a memorable performance at the 2014 Grammys and for the 2012 “All for the Hall” show besides two of his idols, Vince Gill and Keith Urban. Ben was featured with the Strangers backing Toby Keith for a Merle tribute on the nationally televised American Country Countdown Awards. He also contributed versions of “Mama Tried” and “Sing Me Back Home” to 2014’s Working Man’s Poet:Tribute to Merle Haggard album which also featured Toby Keith, Jason Aldean, Jake Owen, Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley. He will be playing at Johnny & June’s in Flora, Illinois this Friday at 6pm.Trace Adkins is performing Friday at the Champaign County Fair with Tracy Lawrence & Confederate Railroad.  The show begins at 7pm.Don Morris is a bit of a local legend in the music industry. He has played for crowds both large and small! A Terre Haute native, Don has captivated a musical following of all ages! Enjoy a relaxing evening, a glass of wine, and live music at the WaterTower Estates Winery this Friday from 6-9pm!

Saturday, July 28th

Venus + Vine is partnering with reTHink of the Wabash Valley to raise money for community gardens & kitchens. They will be open Saturday, July 28th from 10AM-2PM to help make Terre Haute clean & green. They are having one day deals you do not want to miss! The Uncorked Festival will be held this Saturday at Red Hills State Park in Sumner, Illinois. The event runs from 11am-7pm and will have wine & beer tasting, food, & live music.  General admission is $5 , $15 for the tasting event.  Joe Williams will be the live entertainment for the night at Tolly’s Bar & Grill playing the perfect mix of original music and covers in our beer garden. Enjoy an ice cold beer or our Red, White, and Berry. Show starts at 8pm.Greencastle, Indiana is hosting it’s first Chow Week event.  All week during lunch and dinner, each Chow Downtown Restaurant will be serving up a special dish! This is a great way to try something new or an old favorite!
Lunch Specials will be $12 while Dinner Specials will be $25, per person. All Specials will be during normal business hours.

Join them for a fun-filled vinyasa flow class in one of the loveliest spots in downtown Indy. Sessions will be held at the Indiana War Memorial promenade at the cross streets of Meridian and Michigan.
