There are only 9 days left until CHRISTMAS! Does anyone else feel like time has literally flown by?! This will be your last weekend to shop and we’ve got some fun holiday markets & events happening that we think you’ll enjoy.

Friday, December 18th

Come join the Grinch for Cookies & Canvas at The Meadows Cafe!! This event is by TICKET only and must be bought prior to the event. Due to safety precautions only one parent is allowed with their child and masks must be worn until you are at your tables. They will have a picture area set up for you to take pictures as well!! Tickets are 15.00.

Under the artistic direction of Emily Miser, assisted by Vanessa Schuldt, The Nutcracker is presented by Elijah Burk – Values Driven Realty.
 
Don’t miss your chance to see this magical holiday classic brought to life on stage at Danville High School. Featuring local professional dancers, actors from Hendricks Civic Theatre, and reprising his role and Godfather Drosselmeyer, Bill Franklin from Court House Grounds in Danville–all joining students from The Children’s Ballet.
 
The Nutcracker is going virtual this year! Purchase a ticket to live-stream the performance on Friday, December 18 at 7:00 pm. Or watch on-demand from the same device through December 23.
Enjoy the experience of the Eiteljorg Museum’s Jingle Rails: The Great Western Adventure, a favorite family holiday tradition that is unlike any other. Marvel as model trains wind past miniature landscapes of Indianapolis and the American West. RETURNING THIS YEAR: The Indianapolis Motor Speedway!
Entry is $7 per person over the age of 5 (4 and under are free)
Parking tickets will be validated inside the museum, just bring them in with you from the parking garage.
We will start out in Jingle Rails at 11:30-there will be THREE groups no larger than 15 that can view the attraction at a time. You will know when your time is when you arrive. Feel free to enjoy other exhibits while you wait and you may stay until close and enjoy the entire museum!

Lawrence Civic Plaza is home to our very own ice skating rink! The 60 x 80 foot rink is made from a special material that recreates the glide of natural ice. Come experience it with us at 5710 Lawrence Village Parkway.
We have rental skates on site, and there are food vendors with hot drinks available to help keep you warm! Beer, wine, and cocktails are also for sale.
Admission to the event is free, and skate rentals are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 & under.

Saturday, December 19th

Join Kara Lovell Ceramics at the Terre Haute Farmers market for one last shopping opportunity before Christmas. This Saturday from 9am-12pm at The Meadows.

Join the Meadows for a Holiday Gift Market and purchase any last minute gifts for you or someone else on your list.  Stroll through over 20 vendors in the main atrium, Farmers Market vendors on the patio around the tree, shops inside with Holiday sales and then visit with Santa. Farmers market 9-12, vendors inside 9-4, and main shoppes 9-5. Santa 12-5.
 
Enjoy a day of Sales and variety of items in a safe shopping experience. MASKS WILL BE WORN with lots of smiles under them, Sanitizer available and great holiday sights and sounds!

Decorate your bike and maybe yourself for Christmas and ride the Wabashiki trail with the Griffin Bike Park manager.

Christmas Lights Wabashiki Ride will be a 10-mile social ride, with a rest break in the middle and hot chocolate after the ride.
This ride is a fundraiser for the Vigo County Parks Department.
Cost $5.00
All ages and skill levels. (Children Under 13 require adult supervision)

Bring your kids to drop of their letters and wish lists to Santa himself while keeping your family safe and healthy.  The Heart of Sullivan and Christmas on the Square in partnership with many area organizations and businesses, have come together to hold a Letters to Santa: Downtown Sullivan Drive-thru Christmas event. They will have the east side of the Civic Center lawn decorated to drive by and view. Plus, a special stop to say Hi! to Santa, drop your letters in Santa’s mailbox, and receive a goodie bag of treats (while supplies last) all from the comfort of your car. All free to those who want to drive by and enjoy.

This year, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and social distancing regulations, organizations from the disability community are coming together in collaboration to celebrate the holidays! DSO, Down Syndrome Network, CU Autism Network and CU Able are excited to bring you SANTA STOP 2020. Santa is leaving his post at the North Pole for one day to greet children with various disabilities and their siblings. This is a new drive thru holiday gift distribution event at the Champaign County Fair Grounds on December 19, 2020 between 10:00am – 2:00pm.
To participate in SANTA STOP 2020, registration is required. SANTA STOP 2020 is limited to 350 children. If registered by the deadline, children with a disability (of any age) and their siblings up to age 12 will receive a gift and crafts to make at home. The secret is out so time to share it with everyone! The Donut 5K is ON for 2020 with a location change because of COVID. We will start and finish in Military Park in downtown Indy and have a maximum capacity of 1,000 (vs 2,500 sellout last year). Masked and magical, an Indianapolis holiday season tradition continues with a reimagined version of this Christmas classic. Join us at The Toby at Newfields to experience Nutcracker Sweets!

Sunday, December 20th

2020 Stinks, Stank, Stunk!
The Grinch will make a special socially distant visit to Little Bear from 2-5pm. Take your picture with the grinch but don’t get too close, he doesn’t like that! Enjoy a free cookie (while supplies last) after your picture! Entry to the building may be staggered to encourage social distancing. Face masks are required.
 
Please bring in a canned good for the 14th and Chestnut Center, let’s help stock them up for Christmas!
Join the Moon-Lite Drive-In for a Holiday Movie Night in Terre Haute on December 20th! Come enjoy some holiday cheer while social distancing. Grab some hot chocolate, turn on the seat warmers, and enjoy some holiday movies.
This event is free and no tickets are needed. Sponsored by Adams Garage and Paitson Brothers Heating and Air Conditioning.
Gates open at 5pm and Elf starts at 6pm, followed by It’s a Wonderful Life. Concession stand will be open!
