The rush and excitement of the holidays is coming to an end and we can slow down and chill for a while. With the colder weather and pandemic still happening, less events will take place. Try to take up some new hobbies that can be done at home or finally clean out that closet you’ve been putting off every year.
Below is a small list of events happening in the area.
Friday, January 8th

Tommy Kelly will be playing music at the Terre Haute Brewing Company this Friday from 9-11pm.

Derek Meeker will be playing live music at 365 Bar & Grill from 8-11pm.
Saturday, January 9th

Join the Vigo County Public Library for a Draw Your Pets Class with Illustrator Corinne Roberts. Ages 5 & Up: Use basic shapes, lines, and techniques to draw your furry friends—no prior drawing experience required. Kits will be available for curbside pick-up or home delivery. The Big O’s Acoustic Show will take place at 365 Bar & Grill this Saturday from 8-11pm.

Come one, come all, come some, but please wear clothing to Poplar Pub on January 9th to hear BUBBA WIGGLES!! He will be playing from 8:30-12:30pm.

Saturday Serenade at The Sinkhole in Bloomington. A rotating selection of the finest musicians around! Take a few hours out of your Saturday to join some friends for drinks while jamming to music from local artists. Each week they’ll present a different artist, group, or band to play for a few hours. They’ll keep you posted with who’s playing so you can be sure to grab a front row sear for your favorites!


Battle of the Bulge Re-Enactment at Fort Harrison State Park. This will be a “rolling battle” re-enactment that will move to various locations in the park through the day. It will begin with a Safety & Authenticity formation at 9 AM outside of building 702 in the Camp Glenn area with the first skirmish taking place around 10:30 to 11 AM. Guides will be on hand to direct visitors to the appropriate viewing location depending on their arrival time. The final skirmish will take place in the Camp Glenn area around 2 PM.
Re-enactors will be available at times to ask questions and inspect their uniforms and equipment. Please follow the state’s guidelines regarding Covid-19 precautions when attending our event.
