Small Business Roundup

Support your favorite small businesses in-store and online this holiday season. We are introducing you to a few unique local businesses you can support this year in the Wabash Valley & Indiana. When you support a local business, you’re also supporting your town, city, and neighborhood.

Goat Haute Soap

I stumbled upon this brand when I was shopping at Baesler’s Market.  I have a fun vintage sink in my guest bath and I am always looking for unique soap bars. This caught my eye because of the adorable goats, but it smells amazing.

Goat Haute is a local business in Terre Haute, Indiana. The owners raise Sable Saanen dairy goats on a hobby farm. The goats product a lot of milk for 9-10 months of out of the year. They began making soap as a way to use the bounty, they found it made their skin silky smooth, and wanted to share it with others. In 2015, they started selling it to individuals and stores.

Goat Haute specializing in goat milk soaps. Many of the soaps contain essential oils and plant-bases colorants, and are designed as having “natural ingredients”.

They have some fun designs and yummy scents for the holidays. Find Goat Haute Soap at Baesler’s Market, ReTHink, Inc., Ditzler’s Orchard, & Merle Norman Day Spa

Hoosier Handmade Happiness

Could this be anymore perfect!? I stumbled upon this shop on Facebook when a friend shared their post. I immediately had to order this cup as a hardcore fan of the tv show Friends.

Hoosier Handmade Happiness is based out of Brazil, Indiana. Brendi Glenn  specializes in custom tumblers, resin art, & more and runs her shop strictly through her Facebook page.

She can literally make any idea or design come to life and I have no idea how she does it, but I absolutely love it!

Check out her Facebook page for images of all her designs and message her to place your order before the holidays!

Olive Tree Marketplace

I have a love for all things boho/farmhouse when it comes to decorating my home. Since my favorite local spot closed, Olive Tree Marketplace has been my go-to when it comes to sprucing up my home.

Olive Tree Marketplace was founded in May 2015, originally as a home-based business specializing in furniture refinishing and reimagining “junk” into something new and different. Their brick and mortar store opened in 2018 at 11 West Main Street in Casey, Illinois. Today they sell all things home – from home decor to furniture to unique finds.

If you can’t make the drive, you can shop online like I do. Their website is updated daily with new arrivals. They also offer fun classes & fun subscription boxes. These make for a great gift idea!

Five Sisters Co.

Five Sisters Co. is a premium small batch, artisan candle company based in Indiana. All of their candles are hand poured with care. They use all natural soy wax, lead-free cotton wicks and phthalate-free fine fragrance oils for a clean burning experience.

I found these at Baesler’s Market when I was grocery shopping. I picked up on for a gift and one for myself. I have since gone online and orders some of their holiday scents to gift to friends + family.

Five Sisters Co. candles can be purchased online or at Persimmon Avenue in Noblesville, Baesler’s Market, or 1921 Boutique.

Willow Gift + Home

Willow Gift & Home is an out-of-the-ordinary spot to find artistic and clever gifts for everyone on your list. From jewelry to frames, sentimental accents to humorous cards and inspirational treasures, Willow offers a wide variety of choices meant to capture your unique personality and message.

Willow Gift & Home is one of my favorite places to shop for the perfect gift for everyone in my family. They are featuring videos on Facebook all week of their favorite items to shop for Small Business Saturday and they are offering some giveaways.

You can shop in store on Hulman Street or online. A few of my favorite things that I own from Willow:
