Can you believe that Christmas is only 19 days away?! We’ve got some fun and entertaining things to do that will get you in the holiday spirit this weekend.

Friday, December 8th

Enjoy an evening of original music performed by 10 regional songwriters as well as a selection of artwork from local artists. The Red Barn presents Art & Song will open it’s doors at 6:30 and music will begin around 7pm.  Tickets are $25 and can be found HERE, all proceeds will be donated to  Arts Illiana. Appetizers will be served by The Butler’s Pantry Food Co and there will be beer and wine available for purchase.

Grab the ugliest sweater you’ve got or borrow one from your grandmother and head on down to The Dance Studio for a guaranteed jolly time! The Ugly Christmas Sweater Dance Party will take place at 7pm and the cost is only $10, so learn some new moves to show off at your next holiday party!

The Community Theatre of Terre Haute is putting on a musical all weekend for you to enjoy. 9 to 5: The Musical will make the popular motion picture come to life on stage. Don’t miss out on this hilarious show only showing Friday, Saturday, & Sunday!

Saturday, December 9th

A community favorite, Clabber Girl’s Country Christmas, is back again! The day opens with a limited seating breakfast with Santa. This event is open to the public and guests can enjoy kids crafts, games, picture with Santa in his sleigh, stories with Mrs. Claus, and more! All proceeds will benefit the United Way of the Wabash Valley.

Attend the Jingle & Mingle Christmas Party at Millie & Maude and Modern Charm! Stay a while and enjoy appetizers, cocktails, and maybe even a fun game or two! Grab a holiday ball for a discount!! Enter to win a gift basket with every purchase!

Sunday, December 10th

The Swope Art Museum is hosting a Cookie Exchange this Sunday. The 2018 Mardi Gras Queen Candidate Jody Reinoehl will host this festive event! Browse the museum during our Sunday open hours – then join them in the education room for some holiday fun! Participants are asked to bring 1-2 dozen cookies to exchange. The more you bring the more you’ll have to exchange for other holiday treats! Goodie bags will be provided for your picks. This event is free of charge, but they ask for donations to benefit the Swope and Jody’s Queen candidacy!

The 17th annual Nancy Sauer Christmas Hour presents “EBENEEZER SCROOGE – Jazz’d Up Like the Dickens“! You will be enraptured as Scrooge tells the story of his transformation…Talented dancers, beautiful costumes and fabulous music will help fill you with the spirit of Christmas! The event will take place at the Indiana Theatre from 3-4pm.
